The Tustin Unified School District is holding a
groundbreaking ceremony for Foothill High
School’s new Event Center at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 23.

The new Foothill Event
Center is approximately 33,000 square feet and
will include a lobby, basketball and volleyball
courts, storage, stage and platform, and
theatrical lighting. In addition, there will be
a two-story building that houses four rooms to
be used for dance classes, weight lifting,
wrestling and physical education.
The
new gym was designed by NTD Architecture and
will be constructed by Barnhart Balfour Beatty.
It is scheduled to be completed by spring 2012.
The project will cost approximately $13
million and is being funded through the Measure
L campus modernization program.
