The Tustin Unified School
District will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Foothill
High School’s new Aquatics Center at 2 p.m. Monday, August
23.
The Aquatics Center includes a 50-meter pool and new deck,
shade structure, spectator seating, lighting, heaters and
mechanical pumps. The center was designed by NTD
Architecture and built by Barnhart Balfour Beatty.
The project cost approximately $3.7 million and was funded
through the Measure L campus modernization program. In
addition, the Orange County Board of Supervisors allocated
$750,000 towards the project.
Foothill High opened in 1963 and its original 25-meter pool
was built in 1964. The school is located at 19251 Dodge Ave.
