The Tustin Unified School
District is holding a groundbreaking ceremony for Foothill
High School’s new Aquatics Center at 10:30 a.m. Thursday,
Jan. 7.
The Aquatics Center will
include a 50-meter pool and new deck, shade structure,
seating, lighting, heaters and mechanical pumps. The center
was designed by NTD Architecture and is being constructed by
Barnhart, Inc. It is scheduled to be completed by late
summer.
The project will cost
approximately $3.7 million and is being funded through the
Measure L campus modernization program. In addition, the
Orange County Board of Supervisors has allocated $750,000
towards the project.
